Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Annie Ruth Allison Coe, of Georgia, formerly of Darlington will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Lawson Grove Baptist Church, 3585 Lawson Grove Road, Hartsville, South Carolina 29550. Interment will follow in the Peters Family Memorial Garden. Public viewing will be Friday, February 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM at the Washington and Charlotte C. Mrs. Annie Ruth Allison Coe was born June 14, 1944 to Alexander and Sadie Bell Munnerlyn Allison. She departed this life on February 6, 2023 at Brightmoore Hospice in Griffin, GA.
Mrs. Coe graduated from Battery Park High School in 1962, and Denmark Branch of South Carolina Trade School System in 1964, as a Cosmetologist. She was a Stylist at Curl/Style Salon at 1002 South Main Street in Darlington and her career lasted 52 years.
She married the late Henry Lewis Coe on September 16, 1967. She was a member of Lawson Grove Baptist Church.
Her hobbies and interests included going to church, sewing, yardwork, traveling, reading, and shopping.
Those left to cherish her precious memories include: her children, Eric Coe of Atlanta, GA and step-daughter, Zelta Renay (Harold) Coe of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Angeneka and Kialta Coe of Charlotte, NC; siblings, Ruby A. Carter of Atlanta, GA, Janie A. (Thomas) Davis of Columbia, SC, and Bruce Allison of Kathleen, GA; sister-in-law, Florrie L. Coe of Darlington, SC; brothers-in-law, Sammie Coe, Jr. of Darlington, SC, and Major Byrd of Hartsville, SC; special aunt, Eva Mae Pinckney; aunts-in-law, Helen Munnerlyn, Inez Munnerlyn, and Yvonne Munnerlyn; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who mourn her passing.
