On Monday, December 12, 2022, Mr. Anthony K. Sparks, of Charlotte, formerly of Hartsville passed from time to eternity.
Homegoing celebration for Mr. Anthony “Amp” Sparks will be Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Nathan Temple F.B.H. Church, 910 Myrtle Street, Hartsville, SC 29550. The wake will be from 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM with services beginning at 11:30 AM.
Public viewing will be Friday, December 16, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the Washington and Charlotte C. Jordan Memorial Chapel, 108 Lee Street, Darlington, SC 29532.

Our hearts are deeply saddened by the passing of our loved one, Anthony Keith Sparks also known as "Amp". Anthony Keith Sparks was born on August 24, 1968 to the late Alta Mae Mack and Harry Sparks Jr. He was raised by his paternal grandmother, the late Marie Sparks (Harry Sparks Sr.).
Educated in the school system of Darlington County Public Schools, he graduated with the Class of 1986 from Hartsville High School; where many friendships were formed with all who loved and knew him. Starting from his childhood, growing up in Lincoln Village Community, his early adult years on Bell Avenue (Hartsville, SC), and his latter years in Charlotte, NC. He was a man of many jokes, laughter, and truths.
Amp was employed by SKEM Manufacturing and worked construction alongside Mr. Alvin Days (Vivian Days) in Hartsville, SC. After relocating to Charlotte, NC in 2012 he found employment at Allied Security and Trogan Labor.
Amp departed this life on Monday, December 12, 2022 after many illnesses. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him; but family and friends through their faith, may find some comfort in their thoughts of him experiencing no more pain or sorrow but being at rest now with no more suffering to bear.
He is preceded in death by: his parents Alta Mae Smith and Harry Sparks Jr., son, Anthony Kelvice Jackson (Tank), brother, Stevie Direll Sparks, and paternal grandmother, Marie Sparks (Harry Sparks Sr.
Surviving to cherish his memories are: his daughter, Angelica Marie Jackson of Durham, NC; son, Brandon Rodrecus Jackson of Indian Trail, NC; grandchildren, Zuriel Jamile Hatcher, Zachery Anthony Hatcher, and Zayda Marie Jackson of Durham, NC, Anthony Kareen Jackson and Ayden Anthony Jackson of Danville, VA, Braxton Roderick Jackson and Brooklyn Ann Rose Jack- son of Indian Trail, NC; sister, Zelta Renay Coe(Harold Coe), brother, Terry Sparks (April Sparks) of Dallas, NC; nieces, Erica Wallace of Hartsville, SC, Shakur Timmons- Pringle of Sumter, SC, Angeneka and Kialta Coe of Char- lotte, NC; great-nieces T'Nya and Trinity Pringle of Sum- ter, SC; nephew, Rayshaun Brown of Charlotte, NC; great -nephew, Rule Pringle III of Sumter, SC; aunts, Bernetha and Shirley Reed of Hartsville, SC; uncles, James Mack (Gertrude) Darlington, SC and Henry Reed of Bishopville, SC, a special friend, Michelle King of Hartsville, SC and a host of cousins and friends.
